Regional Hubs for School Leadership
Building regional momentum to elevate school leadership.

Across the Global South, school leadership is often overlooked in education reform efforts. While many organizations and leaders are working to support school leaders, there are few dedicated spaces for collaboration, shared learning, or collective action. This fragmentation makes it challenging to scale effective practices, strengthen policy, or generate robust evidence.

We believe that school leadership is a shared priority, and that progress is stronger when it is rooted in local expertise and collective action.
Why Regional Hubs?
We see Regional Hubs as collaborative networks that connect organizations, institutions, governments, and other key stakeholders committed to advancing school leadership in their region. Each Regional Hub builds a shared agenda to elevate the role of school leaders in education systems, while recognizing the unique local and national contexts that shape this work. Through these Hubs, stakeholders come together to:
-
Share knowledge and co-develop resources.
-
Foster dialogue across countries within regions.
-
Influence school leadership policies and professional development.
-
Build national coalitions to translate regional goals into action.
Our Vision for the Hubs
We aim to create networks that work together to strengthen the conditions around school leaders. The Hubs serve as platforms where collaboration leads to stronger systems, more effective support for school leaders, and ultimately, better outcomes for students. Each Hub defines its own path, but all share a common purpose:
-
To build a shared language about school leadership in the region.
-
To create a common regional agenda on school leadership.
-
To build active in-country coalitions to strengthen school leadership policies.
-
To position school leadership development as a key lever in local and regional education work.
Who Can Join a Regional Hub?
The Hubs are open to organizations working in education with an interest in strengthening school leadership. Members are invited to shape the Hub’s priorities together, share their work, and participate in regional learning and advocacy efforts.
Our Current Hubs
We currently support two Regional Hubs, rooted in local leadership and built through co-creation with regional partners:
