Leaders as Enablers of
Early Learning

Tuesday, 5 November | 11:00 AM UTC

60 minutes

Format: Deep-Dive Panel Discussion

Strong early childhood education (ECED) systems rely not only on effective programs but on strong, distributed leadership. From principals and supervisors to local administrators and community caregivers, leadership in ECED looks different, but it is no less vital. This session explores how leadership shapes the foundations of early learning, promoting equity, inclusion, and quality across diverse contexts in the Global South.

Drawing from emerging research and real-world practice, panelists will discuss how ECED leadership can be cultivated and supported, what successful models look like, and how investing in leadership from the start ensures that every child thrives.

Key Themes:

  • What makes ECED leadership distinct—and why it matters.

  • Building coordinated and inclusive leadership ecosystems.

  • Strengthening capacity, mentoring, and systemic support for ECED leaders.

  • Lessons from effective ECED leadership models across regions.

Join us to explore how leadership in early learning can lay the foundation for lifelong success.
