Strengthening existing school leadership development in the country

Group 646 (10).png

Nigeria has one of the highest numbers of out-of-school children in the world, an estimated 20 million. In this context, low-fee private schools play a critical role in expanding access to education. Despite their scale, these schools often operate with limited support and oversight, and their leaders receive little professional development. Strengthening school leadership in low-fee private schools offers an opportunity to improve learning for millions of children.

In 2025, we partnered with SEED (Sustainable Education & Enterprise Development) to strengthen their school leadership development curriculum.

Our work with SEED

SEED is a Nigerian organization with a mission to ensure all children in the country receive access to quality education. With deep experience in low-fee private school systems, SEED has deepened its work through partnerships, advocacy and building a learning network.

In 2025 we engaged in a curriculum strengthening partnership with SEED. In this partnership, we reviewed SEED’s school leadership curriculum, offering recommendations to enhance it based on good professional development practices, and align it with the Nigeria’s national school leadership framework.
