
Dr. Gautam Anand
Director of Research
Gautam has more than ten years of experience leading impact evaluations and mixed-methods research across Africa, South Asia, and Southeast Asia. He specializes in designing and managing large-scale evaluations, systems, and policy research, including RCTs, A/B testing, and diagnostic studies. Gautam has contributed to multiple publications at GSL and in academic journals, and he is passionate about evidence-based approaches to improving educational outcomes globally.
He holds a Ph.D. in Public Policy from Oregon State University, USA; a Master’s degree in Public Administration from the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa, USA; and a Master’s degree in Development Studies from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai, India. He was an Asian Development Bank–Japan Scholarship Program Fellow (2015–2017) at the East-West Center, Hawai‘i, USA.
